Kitchen remodeling in Concord & the SF Bay Area

The kitchen is the most complicated room in your house — plumbing, gas, electrical, ventilation, cabinetry, and stone, all in one footprint. We remodel it on a transparent, line-item estimate and a written calendar, with the finish quality you'll inspect at arm's length.

What a Pagac & Co kitchen includes

Every kitchen starts with a free on-site consultation and ends with a final walkthrough you sign off on. In between, our own crews handle demolition, framing, rough plumbing and electrical, drywall, cabinetry, counters, tile, paint, and finish work — sequenced so your household is disrupted for weeks, not seasons.

We build to a written, transparent, line-item contract. Every element of scope is priced on its own line, and anything discovered behind the walls is handled with a documented change order — photos, explanation, and price — before work continues. Zero surprise change-orders.

Popular scopes we run

  • Full-gut remodels — new layout, cabinetry, counters, lighting plan, flooring, and appliances.
  • Layout changes — wall removals for open-concept living, island additions, relocated ranges and sinks.
  • Cabinet & counter packages — custom or semi-custom cabinetry with quartz, quartzite, or granite tops.
  • Lighting & electrical upgrades — recessed layouts, under-cabinet task lighting, panel and circuit work for modern appliance loads.
  • Cosmetic refreshes — refacing, paint-grade updates, backsplashes, and hardware when the bones are good.

What it costs

In 2026, most full East Bay kitchen remodels land between $75,000 and $110,000; cosmetic refreshes start around $45,000, and custom projects with structural changes run $120,000 and up. The honest breakdown — including the line items some estimates conveniently omit — is in our guide: What a Kitchen Remodel Really Costs in the East Bay.

How the project runs

  1. Free consultation — we measure, listen, and give straight feasibility answers on the spot.
  2. Written estimate — transparent, line-item proposal in about 48 hours.
  3. Permits & schedule — we pull City of Concord (or your city's) permits and lock the calendar.
  4. Construction — dust protection, daily photo log, one superintendent who owns your job.
  5. Final walkthrough — punch list together, warranties handed over, sign-off before close-out.

Kitchen FAQ

Asked before every kitchen

Most clients do. We seal the work zone, maintain a temporary kitchenette setup where possible, and keep water and power interruptions scheduled and short. You’ll know each week’s plan in advance.
Either works. We have trade accounts with cabinet and stone suppliers and pass through pricing transparently — or we’ll install owner-supplied materials after checking specs and lead times against the schedule.
Yes — structural changes, gas relocation, and plumbing moves are everyday work for our crews, and they’re engineered and permitted properly. We’ll tell you at the consultation what a layout change adds in cost and schedule so you can decide with real numbers.
